Just outside Sheffield’s city center, a ‘unique’ indoor market with up to 100 stalls is scheduled to open soon.
Last year, Red Brick Market’s proposals for a new location at the former 99 Jump trampoline park on John Street, next from Bramall Lane Stadium, home of Sheffield United, were approved.
The market is scheduled to open this spring, and the planning application states that it will contain 95 stalls on the bottom floor and a youth training center upstairs.
According to Red Brick, independent vendors, regional artists, and startup companies all contribute “their unique styles to one of the coolest shopping experiences you will find” at its existing markets in Birmingham and Liverpool.
Red Brick Market Sheffield asked anyone interested in ‘joining the family’ to send the team a direct message on Instagram as it announced its upcoming opening.
According to the website of Red Brick Markets, there is a “emphasis on sustainability and social responsibility” and traders sell unique products that are not usually seen on the high street.
Rents would be fairly priced, and stalls would, whenever feasible, be furnished with recycled and upcycled materials, according to the planning proposal for its new Sheffield location.
The planned operating hours were also listed in the application: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
Red Brick Markets has been approached by The Star to learn more about the new market, but The Star has not heard back as of yet.
