The Brazilian media broke a new news at the end of last week regarding Chelsea’s interest in Estevão Willian.

The Blues were reportedly among the top contenders to recruit the Palmeiras wonderkid, who scored his first goal in the Copa Libertadores at the age of 16.

As writer Jorge Nicola discusses the young player’s future, it turns out that Chelsea supporters who think the team is genuinely interested in him have some quite intriguing news to share.
According to certain “exclusive” allegations made by the reporter, a Premier League club has offered €60 million to recruit Estevão. It’s €40 million plus bonuses of €20 million.
His release clause is worth €60 million, but since that wouldn’t be paid in full right away, Palmeiras would still have to accept the offer.

According to Nicola, the Brazilian club is considering offering him a new deal but is hesitant to accept it since they think his value may still rise.

Along with Barcelona, there are two other English teams in the running in addition to the Premier League team that made the offer.

Chelsea should be among those fighting for his signature because it was recently reported that club representatives were in contact with him over his signing while in Brazil. They seem to be the most likely candidates, but it’s unclear if they were the ones that extended the offer.
