Chris Kamara has announced his return to live reporting for the Premier League clash between Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day.
Broadcaster Chris Kamara has shared the exciting news of his return to live reporting for the Premier League match between Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day.
Kamara, a former midfielder who played for numerous English clubs before managing Bradford and Stoke, became a beloved figure in football punditry. He gained widespread fame through his work on Sky Sports, particularly on *Soccer Saturday*, alongside Jeff Stelling, as well as co-hosting ITV’s *Ninja Warrior*.
In recent years, Kamara opened up about his diagnosis of apraxia of speech (AOS), a rare neurological condition affecting his speech and thought processes. His brave decision to go public led to an outpouring of support. After stepping down from *Soccer Saturday* in 2022 following 24 years of service, Kamara explored his journey with AOS in the ITV documentary *Lost For Words*.
Despite his condition, the 66-year-old has been proactive in his rehabilitation, traveling to Mexico for clinical trials and continuing with pre-recorded voiceover and podcast work.
Now, Kamara has confirmed his involvement in Amazon Prime Video’s live coverage during the festive season. He will report from the City Ground on December 26 as Spurs face Forest.
Sharing his excitement on X, Kamara wrote: “Best phone call ever this afternoon inviting me to do the Forest v Spurs game on Boxing Day, reporting back to the Unbelievable Jeff Stelling in the studio. I thought I was done, so it’s a big thank you Amazon. I’m back.”
Responding to Kamara’s announcement, Jeff Stelling wrote: “And I am looking forward to it as much as you, mate. There’s a goal at the City Ground, but for who, Chris Kamara?…”
