According to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, Ipswich Town is monitoring Jaden Philogene-Bidace from Aston Villa. The versatile winger nearly joined Ipswich from Hull City last summer before Villa intervened at the last minute.
With limited game time at Villa Park—just two Premier League starts—Philogene may be available on loan, a move Ipswich is keen to capitalize on.

Former Hull City manager Liam Rosenior once described Philogene’s on-ball ability as “ridiculous.” A move to Ipswich could see him light up Portman Road, potentially replicating the impact of Omari Hutchinson, who dazzled as a loanee last season. Hutchinson’s 10 goals and five assists were vital to Ipswich’s promotion campaign, and Philogene’s Championship record suggests he could offer even more.
In the 2023/24 season with Hull, Philogene notched 12 goals and six assists, creating havoc for opposing defenses. His creative and clinical presence would add flair and versatility to Ipswich’s attack. Notably, he can operate on either wing, complementing Hutchinson’s work on the right while offering McKenna additional tactical flexibility.
