Prior to Brentford’s match against Manchester City, Ivan Toney and Neal Maupay claim to “know how to rattle people.”
As Brentford gets ready to play Manchester City at the Etihad, Ivan Toney claims that he and Neal Maupay “know how to rattle people.”
When City plays Brentford, they know that a win will put them one point behind leaders Liverpool and ahead of Arsenal in second place.
A year earlier, Brentford defeated City 2-1 at home, but last season, they triumphed 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium thanks to two goals from Toney, including the game-winning goal in the 98th minute.
Since coming back from his betting exile last month, Toney and Maupay have formed a solid attack partnership, scoring seven goals apiece in their previous five games together.
Along with sizing up opponents, Maupay has also gotten into arguments with Kyle Walker and James Maddison.
Toney claims he is having fun playing and getting into mischief with Maupay and that the two of them “know what we need to do to get in people’s heads to help win games.”
Playing next to a striker who understands your style of play is beneficial, and Toney felt that Neal already did.
“I’m so excited for him to achieve his goals now, as he truly deserves it.”
It’s interesting to take him on directly. Both of us are aware of what it takes to win and to startle people, get under their skin, and influence outcomes in sports.
