Following Juventus’ 2-2 tie with struggling Hellas Verona, Federico Gatti and Filip Kostic received the lowest ratings from Italian sports publications on Sunday.
In the aftermath of Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi, Massimiliano Allegri was not the only person singled out by Italian media.
The Italian center defender was the most disappointing Juventus player in Verona, receiving a 5/10 from all Italian sports papers, while Gatti and Kostic had the lowest ratings from Gazzetta, Corriere dello Sport, and Tuttosport.
Gatti was described by Gazzetta as “irritable” and took a chance when he elbowed Michael Folorunsho during the first half.
When Verona scored their second goal in the second half through Tijjani Noslin, the former Frosinone defender was similarly “out of position.”
Few Juventus players were rated highly. For Corriere dello Sport, Wojciech Szczęsny was the Juventus MOTM, whereas Gazzetta gave him a score of 5.5.
In a similar vein, Corriere dello Sport gave Andrea Cambiaso a rating of 5.5 while the pink paper gave him a 6.5.
