According to reports, Liverpool’s injury issue has gotten worse because manager Jurgen Klopp will be missing Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones for Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Chelsea. The Reds are in dire need of a trip to Wembley because of the injuries that both players sustained in Saturday’s 4-1 victory against Brentford.

Following their initial examinations for their injuries to their knees and ankles, respectively, it has been stated that Jota and Jones will not be accessible, shutting them out of a speedy recovery. Darwin Nunez is also questionable after leaving the game on Saturday at halftime.

The Uruguayan will fight to be fit at Wembley, along with goalkeeper Alisson. Although his injury may keep him out for up to another month, the Brazilian stopper is optimistic that he can be between the posts in pursuit of their first season-long trophy.

Alisson might not even be ready for the international break in March, therefore Caoimhin Kelleher might be able to retain his spot for Liverpool’s thrilling match against Manchester City on March 10 in the Carabao Cup.

With four more important players added to their already extensive injury list, Klopp’s Liverpool are walking wounded ahead of Luton’s trip to Anfield on Wednesday and a cup final a few days later. Reports from Portugal indicate that Jota may miss up to two months of action. However, Liverpool are awaiting additional testing to ascertain the timeline for his and Jones’ rehabilitation.
